STC Nooks & Corners
“You’ll always remember; Wherever you may be,
The school of your boyhood, The school by the sea.

And you’ll always remember, The friendships fine & free,
That you made at S.Thomas’; The school by the sea.

The Rev. Canon Roy. H.B. Yin (5th Chaplain)
The theme behind the nooks & corners of college is based around those special places that is etched in our memory forever. College is full of these special places & stories…

Please post your memories & recollections in the “HAVE YOUR SAY” and we’ll add them to the nooks & corners
The Kindergarten playgrounds,.. Our first play grounds,.. Children are no longer permitted to play here,…but we had our first fights,.. our first,.. tumbles,.. our first bruised knees,.. on this patch of grass."Field of budding friendships"
Memories that span a life time in college,.. playing as kids; these trees served as an imaginary space ship,.. During our upper school years; this place served as meeting place during the softball cricket & volleyball games.

Near the main gates,. the wall in front of the book shop…Preparing our mindset for a hard days work at classes…Catching up on last nights happenings,…Admiring the pretty teachers…Another day starts at S.T.C!

Fond memories of… "Turn the wall".. White & white".. Get out again".. Run away".. "When bone, which bone SIR?.. Steps to the Col years!!

The seats behind the parliament… Places that teachers weren't present… A place to get away from it all!!

The Big Club Grounds - amongst the best greens in the Island. But,… how little is known… about the goings on,… in the Nooks & Corners of…” Big Clubs”.

"Our Warden Neville De Alwis" – This place brings back memories of a truly great warden of our times, who enjoyed the shade of these trees,.. on a Saturday afternoon watching his favorite game of cricket.

The famous Thallassa steps – The long chats we had, the friendly banter ; getting ready for practice…memories are made of these.

Beloved "LAVOS" "You gave us so much more" if only these walls could be speak.

The luxuriously renovated showers… Pity it wasn't so pretty in our times… Would’ve made the Col Cops rag & the P-Trains so much more bearable…
